Teaching Programs

At LA FIESTA dance schools you can learn your favourite dances through a specific teaching system. This system consists of modules or units.Each module includes 1 private lesson, 1 group lesson and 2 hours of dance practice.Our experience has proven that the combination of teaching with Private lessons, Group lessons and Educational Party courses has the best results when someone wants to learn one or more dances. This training of private lessons, group lessons and educational parties takes place in parallel while someone studies at our Schools.

Private lesson

Your private lesson lasts 60 minutes. The teacher gives you exclusivity and teaches you the steps and figures of the dances you have chosen based always on your personal needs and the specificities of each dance. Each student has different needs, e.g. one student may need to improve the presentation while another needs balance training. Training in the private lesson concerns:

• Formation of school steps
• Proper placement of feet
• The rhythm in which the steps are performed
• Leaders (cavaliers)
• Followers (dings)
• The special style of each step
• The pattern of school steps

• The duration of each private course is 60 minutes
• Delivered at times chosen by the student during the school's opening hours
• The student can set specific times and days that serve him for private lessons defining them as regular appointments
• Cancellation of private lessons may take place from the previous day

Group lesson

Your group lesson lasts 60 minutes. Each class contains up to 10 people of the same level in order to avoid delay in teaching. The first 20 minutes correspond to dance gymnastics, i.e. exercises to warm and strengthen the muscles from the head to the edges of our feet. We then dedicate the next 20 minutes to technique and body control, style and the specific details of each dance. Finally, in the remaining 5-10 minutes we compose a choreography based on the elements of technique we worked on, in order to gain comfort and harmony in our movements.

The teaching is mainly about technique, kinesiology, lines, timing of movements, special styles and details that show us how to dance and not just to walk a few steps.

In our group lessons you learn all dances in a pleasant, easy and economical way. With special exercises that help our body to perform dance moves better, you learn technical characteristics of dances, rhythm, balance and harmony of body movements.

2-hour dance practice

It’s the so-called party. In a safe, family, comfortable and pleasant environment, you have the opportunity to practice what you have learned in your private and group lessons. The teachers dance with you and introduce you to the rest of the students. You learn to dance in normal dance conditions and with various dance partners. Joy, fun and a lot of dancing.

The educational parties of our School come to complement and complete your dance training by putting in practice everything you have been taught in your private and group lessons.

You will dance with all teachers, with all your classmates, all the dances taught in the school (from Latin to Folklore) thus combining fun with education!

This is the easiest, most enjoyable and fun way to dance in a familiar place, in your School before going out to the dance floor of any club.

The great exchange of dances and partners at every party, allows you to develop more easily your confidence and comfort of dancing without having to worry. Also, in order to get the benefits faster during your study, the system has predicted that all students will present student and professional dance demonstrations accompanied by their teachers at each educational party.

Attention

It's completely different to take a dance class than to dance at the party, which is in reality. At the party we gain the confidence and the air of the dance floor. Statistics have shown that a party is equivalent to 4-5 private lessons. Many of our students come to the party every week while others come once or twice a month. We advise you to come as often as you can.

We hope to see you at our parties which are lively and full of surprises. We firmly believe that you learn to dance, once your program is based on units. Your program must always consist of the corresponding private lessons, group lessons and parties for proper dance learning.
